To develop and disseminate a local model for improving environments in order to accept international students and make it attractive for them to stay active in Japan after graduation.
(1) To develop a model to promote local settlement by international students, who can choose to stay or move to a big city or relocate overseas.
(2) To develop glocal human resources who establish the foundations of their livelihoods in local communities, contribute toward expanding local industries while promoting sustainable community development, and who plan and undertake business in Japan and abroad.
(3) To improve the environment for international students, so they may demonstrate their abilities at work or in communities, and remain in Gunma after graduation.
(1) To develop and carry out educational programs through two types of internships (community-based and industry-based) to promote the employment of international students in more diversified communities and industries, as required by local businesses.
(2) To promote the project effectively through an all-Gunma effort led by the Glocal Hatara-Kurasu Gunma Consortium of 40 organizations (10 higher education institutions, eight municipalities, and 22 private bodies in the prefecture).
